BuHIGH UPIS Legacy Project
BuHIGH UPIS is the Legacy Project of Batch ‘99 as this year’s host for the General Alumni Homecoming. BuHIGH is a play of words (Buhay) that aims to depict how UPIS alumni spent their day inside the school.
When the project was being conceptualized, the batch deemed that it should showcase something that would connect the alumni to their memories and “alamats” during their days as UPIS students.
As a legacy project, it should hold a special place in our hearts as Silver Jubilarians and should have a lasting impact that current and future alumni can enjoy and appreciate. The batch then came up with the idea of creating a massive artwork where the alumni can have their precious memories as students immortalized in a stunning mural of the old UPIS grounds along Katipunan Avenue.
The Execution
Ang BuHIGH UPIS ay isang artwork on canvas na idi-display at permanenteng mananatili sa UPIS 7-12 building. Ang mural ay pagtutulungang iguhit ng ilan sa mga piling artists mula sa Batch ‘99.
Fellow alumni who wished to leave a mark had the option to have their names or batches engraved on a commemorative plaque or immortalized in a caricature within one of the scenes in this artwork. Watch out for the grand unveiling of the BuHIGH UPIS mural, happening soon!
